Description
LOTEL Gel is a prescription-only ophthalmic corticosteroid manufactured by Ajanta Pharma Ltd. It contains Loteprednol Etabonate 0.5% w/w, formulated as a sterile gel for ocular use.
Indications:
- Post-operative inflammation following ocular surgery (e.g., cataract surgery).
- Allergic conjunctivitis and ocular irritation.
- Pain and swelling caused by eye conditions.
Mechanism of Action: Loteprednol is a soft corticosteroid designed to reduce inflammation by suppressing the immune response in the eye. Its gel formulation allows for better adherence to the ocular surface and sustained release.
