Description

Verclob, also known as Clobazam, is a benzodiazepine medication. Here are some key points about it:

Uses: Verclob is used with other medications to treat seizures caused by Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, in people who are at least 2 years old. It can cause you to feel sleepy, particularly when you first start taking it, and it is likely to affect your reaction

How it works: Clobazam controls the symptoms of seizures by stabilising the electrical activity of your brain, which prevents the seizures from occurring. It also relaxes muscles that stiffen (contract) during a seizure

Side Effects: Common side effects include drowsiness, tiredness, trouble sleeping, slurred speech, anger, aggression, constipation, painful urination, fever, cough, breathing problems, or drooling. Serious side effects include weak or shallow breathing, severe drowsiness, feeling like you might pass out, or problems with balance or muscle movement.

Precautions: Some people have thoughts about suicide while taking seizure medicine. Tell your doctor right away if you have any sudden changes in mood or behavior, or thoughts about suicide. Get emergency medical help if you have a severe skin reaction.
