Bonjela Adult Gel is a topical treatment used to relieve pain and discomfort associated with mouth ulcers, denture sores, and brace sores. It contains the active ingredient choline salicylate, which belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Choline salicylate works by reducing inflammation and pain at the site of application.
It’s important to follow the instructions provided with the product carefully. Typically, you apply a small amount of gel directly to the affected area with a clean finger tip or cotton swab, and you can repeat this every 3 hours if necessary, but no more than 8 times in a 24-hour period.
If symptoms persist for more than 7 days, it’s advisable to consult a healthcare professional. Additionally, it’s important to note that Bonjela Adult Gel is not suitable for children under 16 years old.
